Because of our intimate size we strictly adhere to our policies.
Due to the nature of the Inn and requests of our guests, smoking is not allowed and children are not encouraged.
By making a reservation with us you are agreeing to abide by the policies below so please, take a moment to review all our policies PRIOR to contacting us for reservations...
Cancellations
Due to our intimate size cancellations affect us significantly; therefore we strictly adhere to our cancellation policy. Please be aware that changing your reservation or decreasing the length of your stay after your initial reservation may change the rate and/or availability of rooms. Decreasing the length of stay is considered a cancellation and will be charged according to the guidelines below.
In Case of Cancellation
Ten (10) days notice is required on all cancellations.
There is a $50 fee or 10% charge for ANY cancellations, whichever is higher, this includes same day cancellations. Any cancellations received ten (10) days, or less, prior to your arrival date will incur a charge of one night, per each room reserved. Multiple room reservations require a 30 day notification. There is no refund with ten (10) or less days notice. Reservations made within ten (10) days of arrival date are final. AND I HEREBY GIVE PERMISSION FOR THE MOTEL TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE CANCELLATION FEE, AS PER THE TERMS OF THEIR POLICY.
Check-In/Check-Out
Check-in times are from 3:00pm - 6:00pm, Eastern Time(which is 1 hour AHEAD of Chicago Time)
We can accommodate a very limited number of late arrivals and all require advance notice. Please call the office to make arrangements. Occasional late checkouts can be arranged if occupancy permits and at an additional $25 charge. Early Check-outs WILL NOT be refunded. Guests' will be charged according to their original reservation dates.(NO EXCEPTIONS!)
Common Area's
Please respect the property and each other while you're here...
In an attempt to provide that peaceful atmosphere you expect on your romantic weekend getaway we ask that you refrain from using the common area's after 11:00pm. Being outdoors for short periods of time (example: smoking, entering/exiting) after this hour is perfectly acceptable as long as you do not disturb other guest.
Payment
Full payment is expected upon check-in.
We gladly accept: Visa, Discover, Mater Card, ATM/Debit cards, Travelers Checks and cash (NO checks!)If you choose to pay with more than one credit/debit card an additional $5 surcharge will be applied for each card supplied. A 6% Michigan sales tax and 2% local lodging assessment are added to all quoted and printed rates.
Children, Pets and Smoking
All are fine - just NOT at this Motel...
Most of our guests stay with us for an intimate getaway. Some have even arranged for a babysitter to get away alone together. So due to the nature of the Motel & our guests, children are not encouraged. We also ask that you make prior arrangements for your pets as Guest pets are not allowed.
As for smoking well, The Hooten Inn is strictly a non-smoking Motel. Smoking is allowed on the grounds and outside of rooms, however smoking violations in rooms will be subject to a $250 cleaning fee and reimbursement for any and all damages.
Damage
We put this at the end, in hope of never having to bill you for it but, just in case...
With our recent renovations and in our attempt to provide a quality lodging experience for all of our guests, any and all missing items or damages to rooms will be billed to your credit card after checkout. This includes, but not limited too, charges incurred from any action you've taken while you're here that causes any other guests to leave.
IN OTHER WORDS - if your actions (or anyone else with you), disturb any other guests to the point that they complain and/or leave the property because of you - your credit card will be billed for any portion of the offended guests stay that is refunded to them, plus a $50 Motel inconvenience fee. AND I HEREBY GIVE PERMISSION FOR THE HOTEL TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE DAMAGES FEE, AS PER THE TERMS OF THEIR POLICY.
